The office is responsible for developing and implementing a community marketing strategy. This includes both internal and external components. It includes print and electronic marketing materials, IT tools, signage, special events development, and community image development and tourism attraction.
Southwestern Manitoba Immigration Initiative (SWMII) *NEW*

The Town of Virden is proud to be a partnering municipality in the newly launched Southwestern Manitoba Immigration Initiative. This program is a strategic initiative specializing in regional economic immigration. The initiative issues endorsements to skilled workers and business investors who want to make the region their home.
SWMII enables eligible employers to tap into a global talent pool for hard-to-fill roles, and also allows employers to support current employees on temporary residency status in their journey to permanent residency. For more information, please visit Economic Development Brandon's website here.
Prairie Gateway Business Association
The role of this organization is to facilitate and develop business ideas, while becoming a primary point of contact for business development in collaboration with the local municipal governments. Members of this group are motivated to see increased business development, improved healthcare, arts, recreation and property development. The goal of the Prairie Gateway Business Association is to become an asset for any individual and organization to work with for the betterment of the area.
