The Virden Farmers Market is a very successful rural market. It launched in 1989 and has maintained a very solid nucleus of vendors since its inception. There is a wide variety of items available including baking, fresh produce, honey, meat, jewelry, wood furniture, cleaning products, etc.

Eternal Springs is located 7 miles directly east of Virden and includes 2 small stocked trout ponds, a 66-foot swinging bridge, BBQ pits, hiking trails, and day-use picnic areas. The site is maintained by local volunteers.
